Naval Network Engineering Support
Location: Naval Base Ventura County – Port Hueneme
Job Description:
Provide the following services to selected Naval computer network:
– Engineering Support
– Provide Shipboard Support Services
– Provide Support Services for land base facilities
– Partner with government’s internal team to successfully transition opportunities from deployment to post deployment support
– Responsible for router and switch roll out
– Tech Refresh baseline enhancements
– Capture customer feature requirements for incorporation into future product plans and road maps to include: tech refresh baseline enhancements; supporting developments of point of presence capabilities to off-site labs; developing test support capabilities for proof of concept project internal to the selected program; and support technical interchange meetings.
Requirements:
- Secret Security Clearance
- CCNA+ certification
Desired Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the technology industry with emphasis on a blend of IP networking (LAN and WAN) and Unified Communications knowledge and skills
– Experience with CISCO and/or Alcatel Network Configuration
-Experience with VMware Virtualization software technology, Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Red Hat Linux
– Experience with HBSS enhancing the security posture of the network primarily with Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) signatures and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
– Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
– Ability to develop and maintain close customer relationships
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
– Working knowledge of STIG's, IAVAM's, ACAS and WSUS
– Industry certifications are highly desirable and could include CISSP, RHCSA, MSCE: Security, MCITP: Enterprise Admin, and ITIL V3
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to: criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
